When you have HID bulbs installed in your vehicle, then things are a little more complicated. It’s not a bare-bones light system, such as halogen bulbs.
HID bulbs have two important parts that make-up each assembly unit. There's the HID bulb, and the HID external ballast that powers the bulb. Each of those separate parts is typically sold separately, and can be purchased at the same time if preferred.
What usually happens is as follows. The HID bulb and external ballast go bad at different intervals. It’s inconvenient, but common. The external ballast has a shorter lifespan than the actual HID bulb itself. Each time one of these parts (external ballast or HID bulb) goes bad, you have to remove the front bumper and appropriate assembly.
This can be inconvenient, because there are four separate failure points, two on each side. Each one is expensive enough, where it’s unlikely the entire set will be purchased at the same time. This is one of the common complaints associated with the HID bulbs.
LED bulbs aren’t complicated and in many cases indistinguishable in power output, and light beam pattern, from HID bulbs.
If you wanted to replace your HID units with LED units, it would be a reasonable idea. Why? Because you get similar light output and the entire system is less expensive.
Until very recently, there wasn’t a perfect trouble-free LED replacement that left zero hesitations about purchasing and installing it.
That has finally changed. Lasfit has created the world’s first HID to LED bulb conversion kit called the Pro-IN-D2. It does exactly what you want it to do and that’s feature a plug and play installation while having a superb light beam pattern.
You might be wondering how it’s plug and play, if every other HID to LED conversion kit on the market requires cutting and splicing wires to get it connected and fully powered.
Here’s how.
We were able to create an external driver, similar to the external ballast that powers the HID bulb, to power the LED bulb easily and effectively.
The Pro-IN-D2 features an external driver that offers a plug and play installation, while getting the LED bulb the appropriate amount of power. Normally, our LED bulbs come with an internal driver. In this case, we designed an external driver that’s shaped exactly like the HID external ballast.
This allows the external driver to bolt up to the location of the HID external ballast with the same three small screws.
The best part is that the Lasfit Pro-IN-D2 comes as one unit. So, if you ever discover that one side is not working properly, then you can contact us and we’ll get it replaced a brand new set for you hassle-free if you are still under our great warranty.
That’s a 45 day money back guarantee, 2 year hassle-free replacement warranty, American customer support, and US local support in the state of California. A combination like that is difficult to match in the automotive LED lighting industry. If you’re looking to make the switch to LED, then now is the time to do so.
