What is Lasfit Custom H7 LED bulb?

Some Mercedes Benz and Volkswagen vehicles come with unique OEM H7 halogen bulb retainers, meaning that if you choose standard H7 LED bulbs, you’ll need to purchase a special H7 retainer adapter separately to complete the installation. Some users have also reported that LED bulbs feel loose after installation in the light housing. To make DIY installations easier, Lasfit redesigned certain H7 LED bulbs, creating custom H7 LED bulbs. These feature an all-in-one design with the retainer adapter integrated into the bulb, eliminating the need for an extra adapter. As shown in the videos, this custom H7 LED bulb includes a special adapter that combines the H7 mounting plate with the retainer holder. After extensive testing on various cars and repeated analysis of light housing structures, we’ve perfected the design.

NOTE: The housing space of some GLE350, GLE400 is not big enough, and dust cover can't be put back on. It may need to do some modifications to the cap, or you can buy a pair of the aftermarket dust cover to replace the factory one.

2016 GLE 350

The bulb works perfect ,but the dust cover does not fit properly. Please upload video how to install the dust cover.

Mercedes GLE350 2016

I was able to install both the low beams. Like others stated, first one took a little bit of time and second one was a breeze. I was able to install dust covers but the passenger side to nearly 45mins to get it just right.

I ordered high beams too and it is very tight and difficult to install. Please Lasfit Support, where are the videos to do install for high beams?

2017 GLS 450

Just installed the low beam LEDs and the visual field change is dramatic. Took about 15 minutes for the first one and about 5 minutes for the second one once I got the hang of it. No issues with the round dust cover. I'm doing my '14 Silverado pickup tomorrow. As to the Merc highbeams, are there any videos detailing that install? Looks to be a little tight.

MBZ 2018 GLE 350

The adapter made installation fit and easy, the beam focus is perfectly in front of the vehicle.
The lumens however is not much better than original OME as described by the LASFIT technician. I wish the H-7 130W would have the adapter to fit my car too.
