  • Custom-Fit H7 LED Bulbs W/Adapter for 2012-2015 Volkswagen Passat High Beam

Designed to replace factory H7 halogen bulbs and H7 adapter in high forward lights of 2012-2015 Volkswagen Passat. These custom design Pro-VW-01 LED bulbs are born for those who are eager to get a new pair of bright white LED bulbs with 100% compatible fitment for their Passat to improve night driving.

Important Notice:For Volkswagen Passat, the factory dust cover could not go back on the housing after installing this Pro series H7 LED bulb, which needs Lasfit aftermarket 75mm dust cover. Secondly, this light comes with a resistor that may be too big to fit in the lamp housing, it needs to trim the aftermarket dust cover a bit and let the cable out.
And we suggest you use zip ties to mount the resister to the vehicle frame. If you do mind, we suggest do not purchase this product.

I love the low beam Lasfit lights but the high beam are a different story. Even with the larger after market dust cap there isn't enough room for the wiring and OEM connector. It would hit the fan. Plus you have to cut a slit in the dust cap for the resistor. Poor design!!!!!!

    Hello,

We're very sorry for the installation issue and the frustrating experience you had.
A few of the Passat owners also met the same issue as yours, they solved it by sticking the dust cover with electrical tape and hanging the extended resistor.
We will add this note to our product page, thank you for your feedback.

Also, we have reached out to you through our customer support email cs@lasfit.com to follow up.
Feel free to email back to us if you need any further support.

    Sincerely,

I had purchased the low beam LED's about 2 years ago and they were perfect. At the time High beams were not available until the updated model was released recently near the end of 2022. It is currently April 2023 and I was able to install these and there are no codes on the dash.

The first light I installed was a bit tough as it took a minute to figure out you need to push the clip while pushing the light to get it to start to lock in place.

Then you need to push very carefully, so you don't break the fan blades, on the outer side of the fan frame to get it to finish clicking into place.

Then you need cut / alter the 75mm that come with the lights so that the cords can pass through the edge 9f the dust cover. THIS IS MY ONLY GRIPE ABOUT THE PRODUCT. IT SHOULD BE ALTERED BEFORE SENT TO CUSTOMERS. It is also the reason for 4 stars.

Then you need to cable/ zip tie the decoder to the chassis of the car. See the picture below for how I altered and attached the decoder to the chassis.

    Hello Eric,

Thank you so much for sharing your product review.
Yes, once the LED bulb is aligned with the housing's slot, it needs to keep pressing the leaf spring, then push on the bottom only, pretty hard.
When the bulb will finally seat, you will hear the click of it locking in, if so, the installation will have no problem.
Here we attach a video to show the installation details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdMj4RrimgA

A few of the Passat owners also met the same issue as yours, they solved it by sticking the dust cover with electrical tape and hanging the extended decoder just like the picture you sent.

I just finished installing my new low and high beam led lights.
The installation of the low beam was plug and play. It took me about 15 mins to do the job.
The high beam was plug and play also. I did have to work harder getting the clips to snap into place. As for the dust cover it did not go on without me modifying the cover. I just cut a small part at the bottom so the wires can fit in. As for the fan there again I just cut a hole big enough for the fan to work without hitting the cover. For the extra box I just screwed it to the side panel to hold it in place. I am very happy with these led lights.I never got a code error on my dash.
I only down fall is that Lasfit does not ship to Canada.

Great improvement over the stock halogen lighting. The engineering of the fitment and function of these bulbs is far superior to anything else I have installed. My only complaint would be that the installation of the high beam buld into the housing was a bit difficult to get the bulb completely seated. It took far more force than I would anticipate necessary.
