This review will be swapping out my current LED taillight/brake light bulb(Lasfit L-7443R) for the latest offering from Lasfit, T3-7443R. The T3 series was rated as having a higher brightness(up to 2000LM per bulb) compared to 150LM/bulb for the L. I was interested to see if the T3 offered a noticeable upgrade in brightness compared to the L.
The packaging of the bulbs is shown below, similar to how the L-7443R was packaged.

The brake light on this car is shown below.
Brake Light location
To get access to the brake light bulb, remove the cover, located inside the trunk on the left and right sides next to the taillight.
Remove the bulb assembly from the lens by turning the connector counterclockwise. Pull the bulb from the connector, and replace it with the new bulb. Make sure the LED’s light up by turning on the lights from the steering wheel knob. If it doesn’t turn on, flip the bulb and re-test.

Re-insert the bulb back in the lens, align the tabs, turn clockwise to lock into place, and put the cover back in place. The installation process was quick, pretty straightforward, and required no tooling.
The images below compare the L and T3 series LED bulbs in taillight and brake light modes.

There is a slight improvement in the brightness for T3 vs the L series in taillight mode.
Where you will see the apparent difference is when the brakes are applied and the brake lights turn on.

There are 10 LED chips on the L-series and 20 LED chips on the T3 series. The design of the T3 bulb is a little bulkier than the L-series bulb. No issues with installation as there was adequate space in the lens to fit the bulb.
Overall the T3 series is an upgrade over the L-series in terms of build quality & brightness, though the noticeable difference will be seen when the brake lights are engaged. In normal tail light mode, there is a slight improvement, though marginal. The installation is fairly quick and can be done in about five minutes. Given the better internals, I would expect the T3 will have a longer lifespan but time will tell. There were no issues with hyperflashing or dashboard errors after the installation of the T3 bulb. If you are looking for the bulb which provides the brightest output, T3 would be the choice. If you are just looking to upgrade your stock halogen bulbs with an LED alternative, you can’t go wrong with either choice.
